You can see here my progress on creating a Newbrain Hardware Emulation.

The ultimate goal is to make a Single Board Computer with a case to put it in.

Re: Newbrain Hardware Emulation
I have started development of the SBC (Single Board Computer) board i am just picking components to use for now based on the availability and cost.
Anyone willing to help please let me know.
The RS232 ic (16550) maybe will be removed if the implementation is done on the fpga.

Re: Newbrain Hardware Emulation
At last Finished!!!. Routing is not optimum but it should do.
Some checks and then i 'll get a quote on manufacturing and building materials (hopefully under $200).
This is a z80 SBC with:
Z84C0020FEC CPU@20Mhz,
64Kb Dual Port Ram, IS61C5128 512Kb SRAM, SST39LF010 128Kb Flash
AY38912 & SN76489 Sound ICs selectable audio output through software,
LFE2-12E-6QN208C or LFE2-20E-6QN208C Lattice FPGA,
4 I2C ports(PCA9665) ,
USB port for keyboard,
USB port for Storage (CH376S),
VGA port support up to 256 colors (RRRGGGBB),
USB Serial Comms (FT232BL),
