Contains:Original NB Char ROM IC453 NB Laptop Char ROMThe difference is that original NB uses a "compressed" matrix for the 8x10 size chars while the NB Laptop uses a straight forward matrix but of course it needs more bytes.original NB Char Rom uses 2048 bytes for 8x10 chars and another 2048 bytes for 8x8NB Laptop Char Rom uses 2560 bytes for 8x10 chars and another 2048 bytes for 8x8.so you need a 4096 EPROM for original NB and 8192 Eprom for NBLaptop.It is easier to implement the NB Laptop Char Rom than the Original and since i don't have enough space on my CPLD that does the Screen graphics i "decoded" the Original Char Rom to fit my needs.
