Emulating a Newbrain MD

Hi, I've been lucky enough to get hold of a Newbrain MD - an early system with no composite output. Mine was designed to be used for stock keeping in a pharmacy, sold under the Vestric brand. It's got four 8K ROMs, and I'd love to see them running under the emulator so I can get a feel for what the machine is doing. I'm very happy to share the ROM images and answer any questions you might have about this unusual Newbrain. Is there a way I can get these ROMs loaded with the existing emulator? Many thanks in advance, Tony

Re: Emulating a Newbrain MD

Hi,

You can do this to load your roms.
Run the emulator
Goto tools-save memory map

This will create a file Newbrain.ini
You can edit this file to suit yor needs

Your roms should be in the roms subdir
The number in front is the id of the 8kb memory
Mainslots are the 8pages thar you want to be initial be visible by the cpu

If you have a problem send me the roms to see what i can do

Wonderful, that works perfectly! Obviously, I have no idea how to drive the software it's now running, but that's another task. Would you be interested in a copy of the ROMs?

Re: Emulating a Newbrain MD

Glad you did it.
It would be nice to add those roms to the emulator.

Happy to share, what's the best way of getting them to you? I'd also love the some help with working out what the these ROMs are up to.
