      I am trying to fix a Newbrain computer and the problem after i repaired the video is that the total memory is 5524 bytes which means i have a problem with Ram Bank 1 and since the problem is that the d5 of that address is always 1 the faulty ic is the 403 os Storage Board.

      I switched the banks shorting PIN1 and PIN6 on the expansion and now the total memory is 21906 Bytes so bank2 is ok.

      As i said i will probably replace this board with a custom one i am designing and use a 32k Static ram instead of all these dram ics.

          A 32K SRAM board would be fantastic.

          As the old saying goes – Static RAM works, Dynamic Ram doesn’t.
